The Love That Changed My Life

Oct 12, 2025

I have so many moments when I just sit and think about the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13). I think about His love, His grace, and His mercy that He has extended toward me—and honestly, I can’t help but cry. Because when you’ve really seen the greatness and abundance of God’s love, it moves you in a way nothing else can.

So many people have never truly experienced Him. They think they know who God is because they’ve heard about Him or seen others talk about Him—but they’re looking from the outside in. They’re making assumptions without ever having that real relationship that lets you see Him, feel Him, and know Him for yourself.

But when you’ve been through hurt, rejection, and pain, and then you finally meet Jesus, oh my goodness… everything changes. You realize He’s not like the rest. He doesn’t hurt you. He doesn’t abandon you. He doesn’t manipulate or take from you. All He does is love you—over and over again.

And what’s wild is knowing that this love? You don’t deserve it. I sure didn’t. But I am so grateful for it. Because once you truly experience the love of God, you never want to lose it.

One day, the Lord kept showing me the number 747, and I didn’t understand it at first. But then I came across Luke 7:47 (NLT)“I tell you, her sins—and they are many—have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love.”

Whew. That hit me deep. That’s me. That’s why I love Him so much.

Because first, like it says in 1 John 4:19, “We love Him because He first loved us.” Before I ever knew who I was, before I got it together, before I even loved myself—He loved me.

And second, because He forgave me for so much. I was in sin, tangled in things I shouldn’t have been, influenced by spirits I didn’t even recognize—and He delivered me. He gave me life. He gave me peace. He gave me purpose.

I’m so in love with Jesus, y’all. And I’m beyond grateful to my Lord and Savior. He didn’t have to do what He did—but He did. And He’s still doing it today.

There really is no greater love than the love of the Lord (John 15:13). I want to live in that love forever. Because in His love, there’s joy, there’s peace, there’s grace, blessing, protection, and so much more that flows from His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

His love changed my life—and it can change yours too. 💛
